Second by a half-length in his debut over the same course and distance, AVALANCHE ATTACK had a litte trouble getting away from the gate, but he quickly recovered and shot to the lead. He set a pressure pace until the final furlong, when he put the rest away and opened his margin to three lengths at the wire.
